Look at public astronomical data in your browser
Telescope images from NASA and ESA with captions saying what is in the
frame, what took it and how far away it is. The names and the
distances come from open catalogues; nothing here is invented.
Nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere. There is no account to
create and no data to give up.
What is on the site

NASA Picture of the Day. Pulled live from NASA's
public APOD API when you open the gallery. If NASA is unreachable,
the page says so rather than showing something else.

Interactive sky map. Seven constellations — Orion,
Ursa Major, Cassiopeia, Scorpius, Leo, Cygnus and Lyra — drawn from
39 stars with J2000 catalogue positions and visual magnitudes,
sourced from SIMBAD. Pan, zoom, and click a star for its data.

The 2026 sky calendar. Fifteen events — meteor
showers, eclipses, planetary oppositions, the equinoxes and the
solstices. Every date carries a link to the source it was checked
against: NASA GSFC's eclipse tables, or the in-the-sky.org calendar.
The dates were last verified on 22 August 2026.
What needs a server, and is therefore not here
Image annotation, accounts, missions, points and the leaderboard exist
in the code but need a backend, and this deployment has none. Those
screens say so instead of showing invented numbers.
